It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

It needed until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It is hard for their batters to hold a record if not afforded the opportunity.

The question of whether this latest epic knock exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Many contend the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was much more difficult to predict.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was removed the team needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the belief to do that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we are confident we can succeed."

That comment will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this tournament want to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this triumph coming after win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she wished she had played through the pain.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those injuries have postponed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as leader.

Victory in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
